Romans 12:1 (KJV)
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service."
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service."
Purpose
Since we have committed ourselves to Jesus Christ
and have experienced the acceptance, forgiveness, and
redemption of God the Father, we covenant together
as members of this church with God's help through the
guiding presence of his Spirit:
To walk together in brotherly love.
To pray earnestly for others as well as our selves.
To assemble faithfully for worship and fellowship.
To love, encourage, counsel, and admonish one another.
To prove the reality of our conversion by living godly, fruitful lives.
To maintain a faithful ministry of worship, witness, education, fellowship, and service.
To share one another's joys and endeavor to bear one another's burdens and sorrows.
To endeavor to bring up those under our care "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord".
To be faithful stewards of our resources and abilities in sharing the gospel with people of all nations.
To oppose all conduct, which compromises our Christian faith and to uphold high standards of Christian morality.
To seek, by Christian example and personal effort, to win others to Christ and encourage their Christian growth to maturity
And in all; to seek earnestly to live to the glory of God who brought us out of darkness into his marvelous light.
